Here, I have added a meter and a 5 micron filter between the two stubs
in the previous photo. A sterilization device, if any, will go downstream of
the blue filter.
We've been metering water now (2/24/2005) for over two weeks. Here are
estimates of use for two people:
1) about 40 gallons per day including two showers and about 3 toilet
flushes
2) plus about 35 gallons per load of laundry; we do about three loads
per week
3) total per week is about 400 gallons.
On order is the next addition: two 2500 gallon black plastic tanks.
That should give us about 200 days of storage.
